Steven Starks is a professional drum set player and educator from Oklahoma City, OK. He was awarded the Shelley Manne Memorial Scholarship to attend the University of North Texas, and received his bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies.
Mr. Starks has extensive performing and recording experience, including with The Buffalo Ruckus, Derryl Dodd, and the MPQT jazz group. He has gone on tour to play a wide variety of music all across the country. Today, he maintains a busy schedule as a freelance jazz musician.
As an educator, he has given drum set clinics at Wright State University, University of Southern Indiana, Oklahoma State University, and the Cincinnati Percussion Festival.
